Volunteer
Orientation

All ALIRP volunteers must complete orientation in order to complete the volunteer onboarding process.

There are assessments at the end of each lesson, and our Volunteer Recruitment team will monitor the progress and completion status for each volunteer before putting them in contact with the Committee Chair.
In order to complete the volunteer orientation, please follow the steps below:
  1. If you intend to complete this orientation from a phone or tablet, you will need to download the EdApp application
  2.  You will receive an email inviting you to join ALIRP's EdApp course. Follow the instructions in the email to set up an account and get started. Be sure to check your spam folder if this email invite does not arrive in a timely manner.
  3. Select the course the corresponds to the committee you would like to volunteer with (either Direct Support or non-Direct Support)
  4. Complete the course
    1. You must score above a 70% to pass, or you may be asked to retake the course
  5. Once you complete the course, you will automatically receive a certificate of completion by email. Forward this certificate to ALIRP's AmeriCorps VISTA (vista@alirp.org)
    1. The VISTA will validate your completion and let you know about next steps in the onboarding process
  6. If you have any difficulties with the platform, please notify vista@alirp.org
