The Ukrainian Community of Alabama invited the Birmingham community to attend the Ukrainian Freedom Festival that was held at the Independent Presbyterian Church (3116 Highland Avenue South) on Saturday, August 19, from 2-4 pm.  ALIRP had a table at the festival.  The Facebook page for the festival describes the event as a celebration of culture, traditions, and cuisine... dedicated to commemorating the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.
