The Empathy Project is a play written by the talented ALIRP volunteer, Anne Ledvina. This will occur on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Hoover Public Library, 200 Municipal Drive, Hoover AL. The Empathy Project is a narrated play about the global refugee crisis. Each character represents the experiences of refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) across the world. The performance follows the visit of Little Amal, a more than life-sized puppet that will lead a children’s march at the BCRI on the morning of Thursday, October 12th. The Empathy Project will be performed that same evening at the Hoover Library at 6pm. The performance runs about an hour. You can follow the news about the play on their Facebook page.
