One Small Step Initiative

In the summer and fall of 2021, the ALIRP partnered with NPR StoryCorps to have robust conversations with Alabamians with differing views in order to be part of the conversation about immigration. Participants were matched with a partner for a 40-minute conversation that was recorded virtually by Story Corps staff, with conversations focused on the broad theme of immigration.  Recordings of the conversations will be archived in the US Library of Congress!   Discussions ranged from politics to cooking to religion and anything in between!  You can listen to the available recordings here!
