Lynda Wilson, RN, PhD, served as Board President (2019-2022), and now serves as the ALIRP Executive Director (through June 30, 2024). Lynda is a Professor Emerita of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing (UAB). At UAB, she was Deputy Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for International Nursing, and was engaged in global health work in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Lynda is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about supporting refugees, immigrants and asylum-seekers locally and globally.
Lynda Wilson has been creating stained glass mosaic pieces since 2016. When she sells a piece, the proceeds go to ALIRP. This is one her latest piece that represents the helping hands to assist all refugees.
