Hoover-AHEAD is hosting its third annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 17, 2023, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Hoover Public Library. This free event will feature speeches, storytelling, film screenings, drumming and dancing, performances by local high school choirs, and activities for children. Come help our city celebrate freedom and commemorate Juneteenth, which pays tribute to the emancipation of enslaved people in the US.
