HOW DO I BECOME A SUPPORTER OF ALIRP? Individuals or organizations can become a Supporter of ALIRP by making a tax-deductible financial contribution to ALIRP to support the work of hosting educational forums, advocating for just policies, and providing direct support in sponsoring refugees. The financial contribution amount is not defined but a suggested starting amount is $25 per year. Organizations will have the option to include their name and/or logo on ALIRP’s website as partner, but it will not be a requirement.
If you are not able to provide financial support, you can still be a friend and volunteer to help the work of ALIRP by attending meetings, serving on various ALIRP committees, following our newsletter, and assisting with direct support of refugees and asylum-seekers by serving on a care team or helping in other ways. See our page "Get Involved" to learn more.
WHERE DOES MY MONEY GO? ALIRP is a grassroots organization that is completely volunteer-driven so 100% of your donation goes to support the missions of education, advocacy, and direct support for refugees, with the largest percentage allocated towards direct support. Some examples of your impact for refugee families includes:
$25 provides an initial quality outfit of clothing
$50 provides a week’s worth of utilities
$100 can cover a much-needed legal consultation
$600 provides rent for a month
$1,000 covers a legal consultation
HOW CAN I LEARN MORE BEFORE DONATING? To receive our newsletters and review past ones go to Newsletters under About. You can always send us an email to info@alirp.org. We are happy to answer any questions that you might have.
