Aldo Guerra is a dedicated public health student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, currently serving as a research intern with the Alabama Interfaith Refugee Partnership. As the ALIRP Direct Support Research Intern, Aldo conducts interviews and needs assessment surveys with ALIRP partner families to report to the Direct Support Committee and Board of Directors to ensure the goals of the organization are being met. When asked about his experience working with refugee and asylum-seeking families, Aldo says 'it has been profoundly eye-opening, deepening my understanding of the challenges faced by these communities and reinforcing my passion for public health and community empowerment.'
